Are you ready for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 2023 release plan?
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 2023 release wave 1 is planned for release from April 2023 through September 2023.
With this release, Microsoft is introducing several new features to Dynamics 365 Business Central, which will provide organisations with new capabilities to manage their business processes efficiently. Let’s take a quick look at the three key features of the 2023 wave 1 release:
- Pivot Data on List Pages
- Sync Master Data across Companies
- Statistical Accounts
Pivot Data on List Pages
This a new feature in Dynamics 365 Business Central that allows users to analyse and visualize data in a more intuitive way. With this feature, users will be able to add multiple tabs that represent different tasks or views on the data.
This will allow you to analyse data quickly across multiple dimensions, instead of running reports using different options and filters.
The new ‘analysis mode’ offers a new approach to interacting with data on list pages. Rather than generating reports by employing various filters and options, you can create multiple tabs that represent diverse tasks or data perspectives. When you’re ready to analyze the data on a list page, you can easily switch to analysis mode.
Pivot Data on List Pages is a valuable tool for organisations looking to analyse data in real-time, so they can make data-driven decisions.
Sync Master Data across Companies
This is another useful feature that’s being introduced in the 2023 wave 1 release of Dynamics 365 Business Central. It allows organisations to synchronise master data, such as customer and vendor information, across multiple companies.
With Sync Master Data across Companies, users can easily manage data across different entities without having to enter the same data repeatedly. This is particularly useful for organisations that have multiple legal entities, subsidiaries, or branches – and they need to share common data across these entities.
Statistical Accounts
This is a new feature in Dynamics 365 Business Central that enables organisations to collect and report data at a more granular level. With Statistical Accounts, users can create custom accounts to capture data that is not typically recorded in the general ledger, such as employee headcount, square footage of a facility, or customer satisfaction scores.
This feature allows users to collect data that is essential to their business operations but may not be captured in standard financial statements. Statistical Accounts provide users with the flexibility to report on data at a more detailed level, which can help organisations gain insights into their business processes, so they can make more informed decisions.
